Shinji Hashimoto, executive producer, ha annunciato che Kingdom Hearts ha venduto fino ad ora in tutto il mondo ben 21 milioni di copie.Ciò porta la serie dal 80° posto ad almeno il 70° nella classifica dei franchise più venduti di Wikipedia.
Ma non solo: il dato conferma che Square Enix e Disney hanno da tempo un rapporto speciale e che quest'ultima continua a dare man forte all'azienda.
